I have a level 45 Spellweaver with mostly legendary 45 gear.
    Stats:
    Health Points 6119
    Base damage 517-554
    Attack speed 1.39
    Fireball 710-762
    Chain Lightning 233-249
    Mana points 105
    Armour value 2420
    Block rate 1226
    Block amount 722
    Critical hit rate 1700
    Critical damage 223%
    Each Resistance value 949

What do you specifically recommend for amount/kind of essences, potions, elixirs, buffs etc.? Is there a limit to how many buffs you can use at a time? From what skills is Mortis and/or the Skeledragon immune?

I intend to go with a group, and I would like to be prepared.

Stuns, slows, and armor breaks won't work on Skeledrag/Mortis. Mind control won't "work" in that it doesn't actually mind control the boss, but it does activate the 1 second skill cooldown effect if you have that talent selected on your tree.

Stuns, slows and armor breaks work on both knights and souls. Knights can be fully mind controlled. For souls, mind control only activates the 1 second skill cooldown if you have it.

I don't know really know the rest since I don't really remember going to Mortis as a 1h level 45 SW, so someone else will have to answer.

Most of the time, SWs serve as support and only take on the Souls in the second phase. There is where the stuns work best to your advantage. You likely need a tough DK to do the work, but with blues to purples, you will likely be able to take on a lane of souls.

I found it difficult to be doing your part in a group taking on Mortis until my Base damage was 900-1000. Using RED i was able to kill ghosts and knights well and then help the Tank to make Mortis killing in 10-12 minutes. Getting a good DK with purple or red is important as they can make it easy for the group or impossible if they don't do their job. I've helped several lv 45 get their first kill on Mortis and I need to kill him about 20 more times, so if you need help invite me!

    Hello,

Fist off if you better do him in a group due to the fact you'll more than likely time out with red essence. Might want to get a lot of health potions I mean a lot. If you have it use Cynite Shield and fight Knights and Ghosts. You will need 7k-12k Red essences. If you can get your speed close to 1.80 then you might have a good chance of staying alive. Your Resists are low for the skeledragon so make sure you get a DK that has done this before.

I must be missing something. How come one would need so much for just one run?

Go big as you need. For most people, that means everything: gear, buffs, talents, potions. . . have a lot of supplies. The weaker you are, the more backup and supplies you need.
A very weak team of beginners will have very high costs. Each might use 3000 red essences, 20 health pots, a half dozen spirit stones. Most teams like that will give up and die first. Your stuff has normal time limits, but Mortis is immune to somethings from each class of warrior. If it doesn't work, don't do it.
The body guards do not die, then spawn a replacement.
There is a big, floating zone, where your stuff doesn't work; move out of it.
Teamwork is essential for beginners. Usually that means a tank or two to hold aggro, while others can unload safely from a distance. Tanks are usually DK's, but Over Powered from other classes get it done too.
Depending on the team, some control the minions, while others work on Mortis, and some float between both. It doesn't hurt to have a champion or two that can solo Mortis, and is willing to help a guildie or friend.
It is a race against time, the longer the clock runs, the more likely the minions with get through and you lose. This is a terrible place to learn to fight Mortis. If you don't have a plan that works going in, you will get beat up while you try to figure it out, and Mortis will win.

Some start out with stacks of reds, stacks of health pots, stacks of spirit stones, voice chat, mentors, and the toughest team they can build. Champions can finish Mortis with green essence, and a plan that works. YouTube has videos, if you want.

    Good hunting.

The way I usually do mortis in my guild is two DKs on mortis, use aggro to push mortis to north corner, where mighty wild swing can reheal with the souls. Of the other 3 characters, 1 on west corner, typically the best, the other 2 do the east corner.

This way neither DK uses up too much ess and we can increase the number of mortis runs we get done.

The higher damage you have the lower the amount of reds you will need. I used to do mortis every Saturday I would take the group with me in map 2 during the week. Had a time each day if possible there I farmed Anderment I used to buy supplies. I hardly ever did mortis above level 40. The higher the level he is, the harder he is. 36 to 38 are the sweet spots but finding players that level with map2 access is rare.

I am currently building on agathon my other char was on Heredur. A mage needs to have fame 40 Cynite Shield to do mortis. Once you use an hp pot you get it again. So the fight is not as hard. Just got fame 30 but help guild get map 2 access on my alt. Might ha e to make a new mentor bounce since fame at high levels is ridiculous to get high. At 17 I get 2.9k per round.
