how many are there? just 2? and why?
example= when i'm kh and im standing next to my guildy i can't see them.
i need to reset the map, then i can see them.
are there 2 parts of the same server?
    this happens alot.
    example-where r u? im in kh,oh i dont see u,let me refresh map,ok i see now
or when u see 2 toons then u reset map and there r lots more toons.
does this effect anything at all? just curious. thx :D

You are right on with this. It's a solution to overpopulated areas. I've often been in a nearly empty Watery Grave looking to find a PW grp, then teleported to a new Watery instance full of people looking for a group. This is also how they handle the new PVP wilderness areas. Two different instances of the same map.

Bottom line is to help with lag and overpopulation of specific locations.

There are as many as needed base on any given day. The limit might be different from server to server. Apatcha did 256 connections per thread. For a game that allow groups to enter the same instance I think they would load a certain number of instances by default and when the number got to a certain point it would load up more. This is pure speculation, but I have seen a reconnection while in KH and wonder if somehow to many where there and it had to kick some to new instances.

It is always weird to be the only one in Kings Hill (first on the new instance). Kind of creepy.
