    This is too familiar.
Usually a formally recognized moderator never gets dirty by answering one of these posts. A cloaked moderator might step up, or a true volunteer. I'll watch to see what happens.

My first trip this month jerkin dropped, for another in our group dropped around the fourth trip and for the other 2 it has not dropped. My archer has been trying for 3 months. Low level % but you can get lucky

Ok, let's let the other shoe drop. (I pilfer shamelessly from the internet and text books.)

Random adds an element of surprise, and everyone loves a surprise. With first play, there were no expectations, no understanding of the possibilities. Drakensang offers personal satisfaction through role playing, and time with friends.

But experience changes expectations. DSO turns into a bonus system. When the system works right, bonuses are just that – icing on the cake. Here, advancement with new and better gear is central, there is no progress possible without it. XP advances are forced, and built in. Priorities change. And when play becomes the means to an end, namely earning that bonus, it’s even more crushing to come up empty handed.

Knowledge of the demon Randomness provides more realistic expectations, but little consolation. Emotions can run high in this game. And when emotions run high, we tend to lose objectivity. When players realize that DSO manipulates the scheduled randomness to fit marketing goals ( players get played, it's Us versus Them) things especially get worse. Meaningless rituals, like ignoring test server feedback, does not help. Promises are not kept. Delays are forever. Communication bottlenecks within the forums and support just aggravate the situation; Big Point does not react sufficiently with meaningful changes.
With poor game satisfaction, players compensate by avoiding the worst of it. Quit, play less, gripe more to others. Some adapt by throwing money at the game, until they find it a poor use of their money. Most would agree that DSO satisfaction levels are at an all time low, to put it mildly.

DSO does have a great deal in common with the rewards casinos use (referred to as “comps” for “complementary”) to keep customers returning. Call it a dangling carrot if you will, but BigPoint does want players to come back. Sometimes an expansion is enough, but all MMO models need something more basic between those expansions, and loot is the simplest way to keep players coming back.

If DSO can't deliver the loot, their primary incentive is lost, their core game is unacceptable. They have no service to sell.
It is better to sell DSO off to another provider, if they cannot deliver the product.

Killed Kara about 40 times during this last event.
It's so EVIDENT that set parts drop has been nerfed since some time (i really don't know from when).
I perfectly remember that about one year ago i was used to play every Kara event to raise my draken amount, and in a single event episode, with many LESS run (about 10-15) you could really collect an acceptable amount of unique items between hat, pauldrons, torso or kara weapon.

And please don't say "it's a matter of random statistics". This is a story joke for math-ignorant.
I perfectly know the dynamics of independent event stats. Yes, independent event truly means that the next drop is NOT affected at all by the result of previous drop. This is absolutely clear for all.
The true whole story is that the programmers CAN say "ok, we have programmed drops with a value that statistically lead to a 39.5% drop probability over 50 runs". That is a 1% probability for the single run, but i omit the tedious theory behind.
But they will never say something like this, cause i'm sure the set probabilitites are always smaller for some players categories and higher for others.

Finally, as result, the sad thing to say is many times you drop items that are no more useful for you.
Did you finally dropped Khaly/Mortis weapon after 3 years of continuos try? Ok, good to have it ... on the shelf. In the meantime probably, 1 year before you already found a better legend weapon.
Did you completed the set you desired after so long time? Usually good to melt, or keep on the shelf again for collectors :D

This is NOT the way drops are intended to be.
The right mix between easiness and toughness of drops is always the same: to bring FUN.

Not indifference or boredom when you drop it too late.
Think of it, kind of stochastic-moron BP developers.

This game is so cool and looks perfect, now its less pay to win, but this drop is very irritating. I play this game just for fun, to relax after drudgery day and its all ok. But how to have fun if you get headache when you cant drop one item after 30 runs. :(((((((((((((((((((((((

dont get too grumpy luka, i remember doing kara (not the last event) like mostly 40 runs with a guildmember, and neither of us got the unique we needed it, the funny part is that we got the unique that the other wanted jajajajaj.

i took me almost a year to get my 45 witch set, and now that i am 50 i will have to kill that bug woman more than 10000 times, or just farm hod for 100000hrs and upgrade my current set.
