Hi, I wondered if you could provide any information regarding the Dragonrise SEA server for Drakensang. I originally played drakensang on the heredur server but then moved to dragonriseSEA as it was better suited to me, but since then all support for that server seems to have stopped!

The support team doesn't reply, there's no response on the official forums, the GM has disappeared and the facebook page is silent. Furthermore there have been no events or even patches for ages now.

Do you have any information as to what's going on with that server? It feels like it's on the verge of closing and if so is it possible to transfer my character back to Heredur? The whole server is lost in limbo at the moment with no information and realistically no one is going to invest any more money into the game without some guarentee of what's going to happen next.

My apologies if this comes across as being a post in the wrong forum, but I've really tried contacting the dragonrise admins in everyway I can, and I never got a response. So you guys are my last resort now!

    Thanks for your help, Exormist.

That's definitely not gonna happen. I mean, transferring a character from a server with a bot to a normal server would cause a tsunami.

    Hello @Exormist
We cannot help you with your issue here in this forum. Dragon Rise is not in our domain.

    Cheers.

Hi Mal3ficent! Thanks for the reply! Could you kindly point the small community of SEA players in the right direction (as a representative of BigPoint) who we should contact with this issue knowing that the admin on SEA has completely abandoned the server. Is there a BigPoint support we can contact outside of Drakensang Support?

    Thanks!

Maybe you've misunderstood something. DRO has two version i.e. Korean version and Southeast Asia version. Apparently, the admin said the Korean version would get the update, not the latter one. Actually DRO SEA has been abandoned by BP without any official explanation.
Through this incident players who are playing other servers can foresee their fate. So do not pay for this game. Once they decide to give up the server, they would stop all support immediately without any official announcement. You see Mr. Exormist cannot even find a appropriate place to complain all this [EDIT]

Ah, I see. So SEA has gone the route of other partner servers. Not really surprising. Last year it was Bashir that got the axe. Others in the past as well.

And it's not really BP that quits these. They are run by third parties that license the game. If those partner companies decide they don't want to offer the game anymore there's not much BP can do about it. But none of this has any direct impact on the BP owned and operated servers.

As for @Exormist your old account on Heredur is likely still there. If you still want to play the game picking up where you left off there is your best bet.

    Luck be with ye,
    Mikey,

    Hello Mikey:
Thank you for your reply:). Dragon Rise SEA is DIRECTLY RUN by BP, not a third-parties-license game. Please just cast a glimpse on this site: www.dragonrise.com. Check the forum and you will know exactly what's going on here. We need help! We bought membership and large amounts of anderments from BP. But they abandon us without any notification.

Wow... and very odd. I read some of the forum posts there and was shocked that BP has just abandoned the game. I used to play another BP game, Dark Orbit, and BP gave us a decent advanced notice before they shut it down. (It has since been rebooted last I heard.) I have seen games from other smaller companies shut down this way. But BP/Youzou? Scary to say the least.

So I guess all I can say now is to offer my support for the players there. I hope someone officially involved will rethink what they are doing. I would think that they would not want to alienate an entire player base when they could get some of those players back on other servers.

Whilst that might be true, all payments made on all servers are always to the same, BigPoint, e-mail address. Even if they franchise out the company BigPoint still has ownership and rights of their game and still directly receive payments from players.

I think all the players from DragonRise want is just to know what's going on. We missed out on so many updates and patches already. The server is dying so fast. During peak hours you might see 8-10 players in PW now. During other hours of the day it's possible to be the only player in PW.

That's why I think Exormist requested if it's possible to move off the server if the server closes. Even the server was to update (having been lagging behind for so long), there is nobody left there to play with. There have only ever been a handful of 6v6s on the server, 5v5s have now become impossible, 3v3s are exclusively held to the last remaining active guild on the server and 1v1s can sometimes take 3-4 hours to find a game.

I think all players are looking for is some compassion from BigPoint to show they really care about their players and their community and take responsibility for the ownership of their product, whether the server be in America, Europe or Asia.

I am sorry to hear that.
I hope it is just a late implementation and not a step towards a server shut down.

The advice is to stick with the main servers as Heredur, we have already seen a server shut down without any compensation or transfer.
I know a lot of people got taken in DragonRise by the autoplay feature (even some of my guildmates), but better to stay with the old server (best is Heredur as it has most of the active players, atm, as i know).

Auto play is really nothing special.. only using your basic attack and your weapon breaks within 20 minutes leaving you dealing almost base damage.. Leaving auto for 5-6 hours is the equivalent of manually playing PW for about 20 minutes, the feature is way too over-hyped.

Yes, moving to Heredur is a good idea as it will help to keep the player base high.

All the players want is to be able to play the fun game that BigPoint designed to be enjoyed for everyone. :)

Drakensang did announce in advance that the shut down of DSO Arabic Version (www.bashiq.com) and players were given the opportunity to join Werian server.

Tedy Bear also posted a thread regarding that : https://board-en.drakensang.com/threads/arabic-version-of-dso-bashiq-shuts-down.71485/

From what I know Dragonrise SEA (DRO SEA) is also run by BP with its servers located in Singapore. DSO & DRO SEA shares the same FB page except for the forum. DSO FB page is accessible with the default region selected while everyone who were from South East Asian countries that were playing DSO and visiting DSO FB page that time where redirected to DRO SEA when they first launched it last August 31st.

Dragonrise Korea is totally different and has its own FB page & forum but what I do not understand is why were they promoting Dragonrise SEA in their facebook page until now.

Everyone who had been redirected & grinding in DRO SEA for 8 months and supporting the game financially are very upset & worried since there had been no announcement what will happen to the server and their accounts. There had been no events in the month of April & DRO SEA is still at R185 and GM_silver has stop responding to the players since March 30th via facebook and forum.

We are players of Bigpoint, whether it is drakensang, dragonrise SEA, pirate storms, farmerama & any other bigpoint games. Maybe someone here who is reading this who have access or knows someone from BP can help answer the questions of DRO SEA players such as if they will have the same opportunity to join other server if the SEA server shuts down. What will happen to them.

  14. I asked Big Point for a formal response to this matter a week ago after receiving a couple of tickets from anxious SEA Dragon Rise players. The questions have been escalated. As soon as we receive a response, we will inform you. Thank-you for your patience in the meantime.

Your post has been deleted because it was off topic.
What @CMClayton has got to do with the servers?
You can ask any question you like, but not in feedback threads as we are keeping them strictly on topic.
Ask your question in any other part of the forum.

    Cheers.
